In June 2008 The Society of Futopia was performed as a 45 minute electronic opera in a unused warehouse previously occupied by the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham. Performed as part of the New Generation Arts exhibition in Birmingham it was the accumulation of a years work and formed the final major project for my degree. In the performance the narrative was split in two ways, half performed through live dance and half through video projections. The live dance side saw the character born, battle for male dominance through a game of musical chairs before the winner mating with a female god and an egg being laid, thus completing the circle of life. The video projections showed the cultural terrorist manifesto and ultimate destruction of all things cultural.
